About Staffing in Calgary is seeking a Bookkeeper & Administrative Coordinator for an on-site role. You will handle bookkeeping, purchasing, sales administration, and logistics with a direct impact on the business.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting experience and proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and Excel. ADP Workforce Now payroll experience is a plus, and you will work independently within a small team.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Desktop is required.
  • Payroll processing experience; ADP Workforce Now an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable and day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
  • Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Prepare/file GST/HST returns.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Monitor the sales inbox and respond to customer quote requests and basic product inquiries.
  • Enter and process customer purchase orders while providing general administrative support.
  • Coordinate purchasing and logistics tasks with vendors and deliveries.

Our client is looking for a Full-Time Bookkeeper & Administrative Coordinator to join their small, close-knit team. Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and day-to-day bookkeeping activities
  • Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now
  • Prepare/file GST/HST returns
  • Maintain accurate financial records and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Monitor the sales inbox and respond to customer quote requests and basic product inquiries
  • Enter and process customer purchase orders while providing general administrative support
Purchasing & Logistics
  • Communicate with vendors to request quotes, confirm pricing and quantities, and place purchase orders
  • Coordinate inbound shipments, including scheduling deliveries, providing shipping instructions/accounts, and following up on deliveries
Education:
  • Post secondary education is considered an asset.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work fully on-site.
  • Clean criminal record check required.
  • Credit check required.
Experience:
  • 3+ years experience in a bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting role is required.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Desktop is required.
  • Experience processing payroll; ADP Workforce Now experience is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

Base Salary: $60,000 – 65,000 per year

  • Salary based on experience.
  • HSA provided.
  • 3 weeks vacation, plus an additional week during winter holidays.
  • Eligibility for profit-sharing program.
Work Hours:
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Start times are flexible between 7:00am and 9:00am, with the corresponding end time between 3:00pm and 5:00pm.
Additional Notes:
  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
