Job summary

The Canadian Brewhouse, Canada's fastest-growing independent restaurant group, is seeking a BOH Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of cooks. The role emphasizes training, safety, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a clean, efficient kitchen.

You will manage scheduling based on forecasts, oversee purchasing and inventory, and hire onboarding processes while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing kitchen staff and back-of-house operations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience with sales forecasting, budgeting and inventory management.
  • Strong administrative skills (scheduling, emailing, ordering).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to hire and interview new staff.
  • Calm under pressure with strong organizational skills.
  • Foodsafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, lead, and mentor a team of cooks.
  • Ensure proper training of back of house team members.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and clean work environment.
  • Foster positive relationships between front of house and back of house teams.
  • Schedule effectively based on sales forecasts.
  • Maintain standards for purchasing, ordering, and food storage.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Hire new employees and conduct onboarding.
  • Delegate tasks and follow through on their completion.

  • Ability to remain level-headed and calm under pressure
