Qualifications

The Bodyshop Technician is responsible for the body repairs of all vehicles as assigned on a daily basis. The job encompasses the proper satisfaction of customers by delivering professionally repaired vehicles, on time, to all Dunlop Ford customers.

Job Responsibilities include:
  • Repairing damaged body and parts of vehicles as indicated on work order, in accordance with manufacturer and dealership specifications
  • Removing necessary vehicle parts to gain access to body fenders, includes: upholstery, trim, accessories, electrical, power window and seat operating equipment
  • Operating power tools and hand tools to grind and sand finished surfaces
  • Use of proper tools to remove and replace damaged panels, fenders and grills, etc
  • Use of proper respirator equipment
  • Weld or bolt replacement parts in position using necessary tools or welding equipment
  • Use of frame straightening machine to straighten distorted vehicle frames
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Technical knowledge of all phases of vehicle body, including laser measuring and unibody structure
  • 4 - 5 years technical training and/or in-house apprenticeship leading to Body Man License
  • 3 - 4 years experience on the bench
  • WHMIS certification
