The Opportunity

Lounsbury Chevrolet in Moncton is currently seeking a Shop Foreman/woman for our busy collision centre (bodyshop). We are looking for someone who is highly organized and has a passion for vehicles.

The hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5pm (no Saturdays!)

Responsibilities
  • Job Dispatching & Workflow Management: Assign repair jobs to technicians based on priority and availability. Ensure technicians have the next job ready with all necessary parts and documentation. Monitor and adjust workflow to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Quality Control & Inspection: Review all estimates and repair plans before work begins. Inspect body repairs before moving to the prep stage. Inspect prepped vehicles and mark them ready for paint using the designated system.
  • Team Leadership & Communication: Conduct daily 2-minute pitch meetings to outline priorities and goals. Foster a positive, respectful, and productive work environment. Provide coaching and support to technicians as needed.
  • Facility & Equipment Management: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and workspaces. Oversee care and maintenance of tools and equipment. Supervise purchasing of supplies and ensure proper inventory control.
  • Customer Service & Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality repairs and minimize rework. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with estimators to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in an automotive body shop environment, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Must have a valid Driver's Licence and a clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Highly reliable and like to work as part of a team.
