You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform routine maintenance, and install equipment while maintaining high quality and efficiency in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Boat Mechanic or Maritime Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engines, systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Physical endurance and ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues on various boats and engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements and lubrication.
  • Inspect and repair marine electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems.
  • Handle rigging and install accessories and equipment.
  • Ensure work is completed accurately and within timelines.
  • Maintain records of services performed and parts used.
  • Keep the workshop clean and organized.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Boat Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on various types of boats and marine engines. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in marine mechanics and a passion for delivering top-notch service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on different types of boats, including inboard and outboard engines.
  • 2. Perform routine maintenance and service tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  • 3. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair marine systems such as electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning.
  • 4. Handle boat rigging and the installation of accessories and equipment.
  • 5. Ensure that all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
  • 6. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • 7. Assist in keeping the workshop clean and organized.
  • 8. Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards at all times.
