Job summary

Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Criticalist to join our growing team in a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility.

This role offers a chance to contribute to an expanding Critical Care service alongside specialists across several disciplines in one of Canada's vibrant coastal cities. For experienced leaders, there is an opportunity to step into Medical Director duties and shape our hospital's future.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or residency-trained veterinary criticalist required.
• Experience in critical care and multi-disciplinary teamwork.
• Leadership interest with potential Medical Director role.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced critical care to dually admitted patients.
• Collaborate with internist, radiologist, surgeon and ER team.
• Mentor staff and contribute to program growth in Halifax.

Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia, is growing — and we’re looking for a friendly and compassionate Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Criticalist to join our team!

Located in our newly built, 20,000 sq. ft. specialty and emergency hospital, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing Critical Care service with tremendous potential. You’ll join an established Criticalist who has already laid the foundation for the service, while working alongside a highly collaborative and diverse medical team that includes an Internist, Radiologist, Dermatologist, Anesthesiologist, Neurologist, Ophthalmologist, Surgeon, an intern-trained Exotics Veterinarian, and a dedicated ER department.

For an experienced Criticalist with an interest in leadership, there is also the opportunity to step into a Medical Director role and help shape the future of our hospital, our Critical Care service, and the team around you.
