Job summary

BluMetric Environmental Inc. in Hamilton is seeking a Junior Environmental Specialist to join our civil engineering team. You will develop skills through fieldwork and office analysis, supporting environmental and geotechnical projects.

The role offers training and development, competitive benefits, and opportunities to advance within a growing boutique consulting firm. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus on Environmental and/or Geotechnical Engineering.
• One (1) – two (2) years of related experience in environmental engineering and field investigations (asset).
• Ability to complete Phase One/Two ESAs, Soil & Groundwater Remediation and Records of Site Condition.
• Excellent computer skills, proficiency with common industry software.
• Strong workplace health and safety practices.
• Flexible, organized, interested in technical and personal advancement.
• Ability to carry out assignments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong report-writing skills and English communication.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and respond to time-sensitive issues.
• Must own vehicle with Ontario G-Level Driver's License and be willing to travel.
• GIS and CAD software experience is an asset.
• Must be mobile for field and office work.

• Must own vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and hold a valid (G-Level) Ontario Driver's License
• Must be mobile and willing to work on a combination of field and office work, as travel will be required
