Job summary

A civil contracting company in Canada is seeking a Blaster to join their experienced drilling and blasting team. The ideal candidate will manage blasting designs and maintain detailed records while ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a Class I Provincial Blasting License or the ability to obtain one, along with 2-5 years of experience with explosives in the construction industry. Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience working with explosives in quarries or in the construction industry.
  • Supervisory experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design, layout, preparation, and detonation of planned blasts.
  • Take part in all blasting activities such as priming charges and initiation of the blast.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations.
