Responsibilities

• Set up the paint line for various paint jobs.
• Wash and prep parts for painting.
• Spray paint parts and perform pre-/post-inspections for defects.
• Monitor and maintain paint equipment and tools.
• Suggest throughput improvements on the paint line.
• Maintain respirator program and follow safety protocols.
• Perform other labour-intensive duties as needed.

Description

Group Division:

At Arrow Engineered Products, we design and manufacture turnkey solutions for a wide range of customers with needs in nuclear, chemical mixing, heat exchanger, and autoclave systems, including fuel storage and various custom-designed pressure and non-pressure systems, all in compliance with ASME, PED, ULC, and API certified design criteria.

Compensation Range: up to $24.13 hourly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Setting up the paint line for various paint jobs
• Washing and/or prepping for paint jobs
• Spray painting of various parts
• Pre- and post-inspection of parts for defects
• Monitor and maintain the paint equipment and tools
• Reviewing and suggesting ways to increase throughput on the paint line
• Monitoring/maintaining the respirator program
• Strict adherence to safety
• Various labour-intensive jobs include lifting, carrying, moving, and so on
• Other duties as required

Educational Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Knowledgeable in the mixing and application of the wet paint process
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment
• Incumbent must be safety-conscious, as well as dedicated and reliable.
• Able to use jib cranes and related lifting attachments, and handheld equipment that may be necessary for the job
• Follow written instructions when completing a work order to barcode production

Physical Demands:

• Manufacturing or workshop environment with exposure to loud noise and moving mechanical parts
• Personal Protective Equipment provided must be worn
