We are seeking an experienced Blaster responsible for assisting our crews in British Columbia. Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a pre-requisite.

Job duties: Preparation of blasting plans, loading of and detonating blasts.

Qualifications:

  1. Blasting experience around houses and urban settings is considered an asset.
  2. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  3. Natural ability to solve problems, communicate clearly and effectively.
  4. Able to work flexible hours based on job requirements.
  5. Enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  6. Valid Canadian driver’s license, with a clean driving abstract.
  7. Experience working in the heavy civil construction industry.
  8. Must possess a BC Mines Blasting Ticket.
  9. Must possess a Work Safe BC Urban Blasting Ticket.
  10. Knowledge in blasting shearline and production techniques.
  11. Understanding of the Work Safe requirements for Blasting.
  12. Current TDG ticket.
