Job summary

SGS is seeking a Biotech Analyst - Level 1 - Bioseparations for a 1-year contract in Mississauga. You will perform analytical testing of biopharmaceutical materials, follow SOPs and cGMP guidelines, and document results for QA review.

Requirements include a B.Sc. in Chemistry or Biochemistry (or equivalent) and 1+ year of relevant experience; experience with HPLC or ELISA is a strong asset. The position offers CAD 26.00–27.00 per hour and is an equal opportunity role.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Chemistry or Biochemistry or equivalent.
• Experience over 1 year in a similar analytical role.
• HPLC and ELISA experience considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex analytical testing of biopharmaceutical products or materials.
• Follow SOPs, deviations and change control programs in a cGMP environment.
• Lead or participate in technical conversations with clients and teammates.
• Ensure documentation and results are entered into LIMS or COA prior to QA review.
• Plan daily work to meet due dates and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Calibrate and qualify equipment as required and keep records organized.
• Prepare study protocols and reports with limited supervision.
• Demonstrate strong communication and time-management skills.
• Show understanding of protein biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and/or biophysics.
