Job Description
Overview

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and talented New Graduate Biologist to work with our environment team on exciting infrastructure projects across Canada.

One key project you will work on is the Alto high-speed rail project, connecting Québec City to Toronto, as an experienced partner within the Cadence consortium. This consortium—comprising CDPQ Infra, Atkins Realis, SYSTRA Canada, Keolis Canada, Air Canada, and SNCF Voyageurs—was selected by the Canadian government to develop the project following a rigorous bidding process. Thanks to our expertise, we will ensure optimal performance and seamless service within a modern rail network. Here’s your opportunity to help shape the future of high-speed rail in Canada!

Your role
  • In this role, you will be a vital contributor to a wide range of environmental assessment and management projects. This could include planning, coordinating, and conducting biological surveys to ensure regulatory compliance following established protocols and methodologies. You will gain exposure to our wider biology programs, whilst still having the ability to further develop into your area of specialization.
  • Your day-to-day activities may include field-based environmental monitoring and habitat assessment, preparation of monitoring and mitigation plans, conducting desktop research, preparing permit applications, as well as contributing to technical reports to support decision making.
  • Collaboration is one of our core company values and will be a key element in your role, helping to maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, regulatory agencies, construction contractors and wider rightsholders and stakeholders.
About you
  • Upcoming graduates of 2026
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental Biology pathway, with field experience in planning, conducting and/or managing biological studies (e.g. wildlife, vegetation, wetlands, fish and fish habitat studies)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license
