Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, AI/ML, Statistics or related field
• Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and statistical methods applied to biological data
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, with experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or
• Deep understanding of molecular biology, genetics, and bioinformatics
• Experience with NGS alignment tools such as Bowtie2, BWA-MEM, Minimap2, STAR, and
• HISAT2
• Experience with taxonomic profiling tools such as Kraken2
• C++ or Rust experience for algorithm optimization is an asset
• Strong publication record or demonstrated industry contributions in AI and computational biology
