As a BIM Manager you will act as a subject‑matter expert for design‑modeling software use, set up best practices, provide user support and training, and assist multidisciplinary teams to ensure expectations are clear and scope is defined for successful project execution and client satisfaction. Your core focus will be to provide leadership, technical expertise, and consistency of product and process in support of design delivery.

The team regularly collaborates on projects across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across the continent. While the position is based in one of our Canadian offices, we offer flexible hybrid work from home/office arrangements.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the North American CAD/BIM Discipline Lead, you will have the following responsibilities.
  • Act as liaison for BIM‑related subject matter both internally and externally.
  • Influence, implement, and support interdisciplinary standards and process improvements related to digital project delivery.
  • Provide direction and assistance to project teams with scope, approach, setup, and delivery, including the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BXP), model matrices, and other supporting digital scope documentation for each project.
  • Develop families and other electronic content in collaboration with the greater digital practice team to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Review projects to ensure quality and cohesion in accordance with firm or client standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend BIM‑related technologies.
  • Create and lead regular end‑user support and training sessions.
  • Communicate corporate initiatives and standards.
  • Provide in‑house BIM support.
  • Work with consultants and subconsultants to assure that they have implemented the most current BIM/CAD standards.
  • Maintain software template files to ensure standards.
  • Enforce company drafting and modeling standards and procedures; review client input, understand the scope of work, and plan work accordingly as per agreed scope and requirements.
  • Prepare 3D models and detailed drawings in Revit of proposed plans, facilities, and infrastructure in Revit/AutoCAD with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate with other discipline designers, engineers, and architects as applicable.
  • Participate during the construction phase to maintain adherence to the design intent, quality standards, and contract documents including reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to requests for information, preparing observation reports, and completing other tasks associated with the construction phase.
As The Successful Candidate You Will Possess The Following
  • Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Highly organized, with significant attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
  • Experience with the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experienced in CAD/BIM software such as Civil 3D and/or Revit.
  • Experience in Common Data Environments such as ACC and/or ProjectWise.
  • Experience considered an asset: Bentley Open Applications, Autodesk ACC and ProjectWise, Navisworks or ITWIN, AI and chatbot technology.
Education and Experience
  • An Engineering Technology diploma, degree, or equivalent technology diploma plus experience.
  • Experience and familiarity with municipal, urban development, and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.
  • BIM Manager certification from an accredited institution or equivalent BIM industry experience.
  • 7+ years of related industry experience (minimum 5+ with BIM technologies), and comprehensive knowledge of CAD/BIM software.

Typical office environment: working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Range
  • Locations in Lower Mainland – BC – Minimum Salary $99,600.00 – Maximum Salary $149,500.00.

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
