Job summary

SYSTRA Canada is seeking a BIM Specialist to create, maintain, and govern BIM objects, templates, and library content for infrastructure and rail projects. You will ensure content is traceable, standards-aligned, and usable by multidisciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.

You will support automation, data management, and BEP compliance while collaborating with design teams to deliver high-quality BIM solutions. Fluency in French and English is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, BIM, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of BIM content development and library management experience.
• Experience in infrastructure, rail, transportation or multidisciplinary projects.
• Proficiency in BIM platforms and standards (ISO 19650, BuildingSMART).
• Ability to create high-quality parametric objects and ensure data compliance.
• Strong bilingual communication in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain BIM objects, templates, and library content.
• Ensure traceability, documentation, and metadata management within information systems.
• Collaborate with design teams to meet content needs and modelling practices.
• Improve and update the BIM object library throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support automation of object creation and data management via scripts or tools.
• Assist teams in integration and use of BIM objects within models.
• Maintain alignment between libraries, standards, and BEP requirements.
• Contribute to deployment support, user guidance, and training for BIM tools.
