Job summary

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) invites applicants for a part-time Contact Center Representative in Toronto. You will engage with visitors via phone, email, and online platforms, assisting with visits, ticketing, and memberships, while promoting ROM programs and handling transactional duties.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of customer service experience, bilingual English/French, and comfort with POS/ticketing systems.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a contact center.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in communications, customer service, or hospitality.
Fluency in English and French (B level or higher) is required; French proficiency tested in interview.
Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and diplomacy.
Experience with ticketing systems, POS, or membership databases.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with mobile devices.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Availability for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and members via phone, email, chat, and online platforms.
Assist guests in planning museum visits and resolve ticketing/membership issues.
Promote ROM offerings and process sales and transactions.
Conduct outbound calls to engage members and gather feedback.
Monitor and respond to visitor feedback on digital platforms with professionalism.
Maintain detailed records of inquiries, transactions, and resolutions.
Uphold ROM’s brand values in every interaction.
