Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant to deliver counter service with a customer-focused approach in the community of Crysler, Ontario. The ideal candidate resides in the local community and is available for temporary, on-call work as needed.

Responsibilities include selling postal products, sorting and processing mail, providing customers with forms, and resolving service issues promptly. On-site position with on-call hours and bilingual requirements.

Qualifications

• High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
• Experience interacting with the public in a retail/service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push/pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work.

Responsibilities

• Sell postal products and service to the business community and public.
• Sort, distribute and process mail into appropriate classifications.
• Provide customers with information and forms.
• Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly.
