Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care within the scope of LPN practice to patients and families across the life span as part of the EMP's interdisciplinary team.

This on-site role in New Brunswick requires active ANBLPN registration, three years of medical/surgical, palliative and wound care experience in acute care, and flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses
• Active registration with ANBLPN
• Minimum of three years recent medical/surgical, palliative care and wound care experience in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated education and experience related to medication administration, phlebotomy and physical assessment
• Current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months
• Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills
• Support student placements initiatives
• Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record
• A high regard for confidentiality; and
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care within the scope of LPN practice
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary EMP team to deliver coordinated home-based care
• Assist with medication administration, phlebotomy and physical assessments
• Support student placements initiatives and maintain confidentiality
