We are currently seeking a Bilingual Claims Adjudicator to join our team to provide excellent service to our client base across Canada. Position Responsibilities
  • Consistently provide exceptional service to internal and external customers by demonstrating the highest level of professionalism in all interactions
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner in written and verbal form.
  • Display empathy and predict needs of client through active listening.
  • Review claims and ensure file is handled in a manner that is in accordance with procedures, Product, Privacy legislation, Pension legislation, Anti Money Laundering and Canadian Tax rules and regulations.
  • Document claim file to ensure accurate record of events.
  • Obtain complete file information to ensure accuracy.
  • Accurately update system to ensure accuracy of reserve calculations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bilingual (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • High level of comfort is a must to navigate through calls with grieving/emotional clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to communicate proficiently both verbally and in written form to successfully interact with our internal and external customers, claimants, financial advisors, lawyers, and employees.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service oriented individual
  • Ability to respond constructively and decisively in high pressure or emotional situations.
  • Ability to thrive in a high energy culture.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills to be able to work in a multitask environment in order to meet and maintain all service standards.
  • 1-2+ years’ experience in adjudicating claims, an asset.
  • Working knowledge of processing and imaging systems, an asset.
  • Knowledge of Investment Products, an asset.
  • Working knowledge of government legislation, Insurance Act and Quebec Civil Code, an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of administrative systems (Mainframes, AWD, iFAST), as asset.
  • Knowledgeable in developing professional letters.
