As our business expands, we’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Health and Dental and Life Underwriter to join our team. This is a remote opportunity open to candidates across Canada.

Position Responsibilities
  • Review and assess applications for health and dental insurance in accordance with Manulife’s underwriting guidelines and risk philosophy.

  • Collaborate with senior underwriters to ensure sound risk decisions and continuous learning.

  • Provide responsive and professional service to internal partners and external clients.

  • Ensure underwriting decisions comply with regulatory requirements and privacy standards.

  • Stay current on medical and dental trends, treatment protocols, and underwriting best practices.

  • Contribute to a positive team culture and help achieve departmental goals.

Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in health and/or dental insurance underwriting (or relevant education in medical, dental, or insurance fields).

  • Basic understanding of medical and dental terminology, anatomy, and treatment procedures.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Interest in pursuing industry designations (e.g., LOMA, ALU, FLMI).

  • Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between $44,775.00 CAD - $74,625.00 CAD
