Giant Tiger is recruiting for a Franchisee-in-Training role in Canada. You will engage in hands-on in-store training, shadow experienced Franchisees, and develop entrepreneurial leadership to ultimately manage your own store.
Mobility within the Northwest New Brunswick region is required, with bilingual English/French abilities essential. You will participate in in-class and on-the-job learning, with mentoring and exposure to diverse communities across Canada.
At Giant Tiger, our mission is simple: help Canadians save more every day. We're a Canadian institution rooted in our communities and built on 60+ years of success. Our store teams are the heart of our mission, making sure every customer has a great experience and finds the products they need at the right price. We're looking for friendly, driven leaders who love retail, enjoy developing people, and want to grow their careers beyond store management — this posting represents a current opportunity to join Giant Tiger as a Franchisee-in-Training.
Giant Tiger is a proudly Canadian-owned retailer committed to being Canada's place to save more. We're seeking future franchise store owners who thrive in retail and want to lead their stores with passion and a vision. Our Store Owners are leaders who shape their store’s identity, drive success, and positively impact their communities. We're looking for entrepreneurial leaders eager to grow their careers and make a difference. Our Franchisee in Training Program offers hands-on training with experienced operators, exposure to diverse markets, and the chance to manage your own store upon completion. Mobility and commitment to community are key. If you are ready to take charge of your own store, we want to hear from you! Successful candidates will complete their training within the Northwest New Brunswick region, not limited to the exact cities listed in the title. Due to many stores in this region being only French or only English speaking, we do require the incumbent to be fully bilingual.
Working hours: Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.
Travel: Must be willing to travel within the assigned region. Occasional overnight travel to our Home Office in Ottawa as well as other stores will be required.
Region: The specific store within the region will be discussed during the first interviews, and generally, work will take place within 100km of that store unless applying to stores outside the region after completing the program.
In-Class Learning: Complete all training modules and assigned projects during the Franchisee in Training Program. Engage in formal mentorship to develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
On-the-Job Learning: Participate in in-store experiences with leaders and their teams. Shadow current Franchisees across various regions in Canada. Work closely with staff and interact with customers in the community.
