Role: Bilingual (FR/EN) QA Engineer II

Location: Mississauga, ON (Onsite: 3-5 days/week)

Start Date: February 21, 2025 – January 31, 2026

Compensation: $40-50/hr (T4) | $50-59/hr (Incorporated)

Interview Process: 2 Rounds

The role is onsite in Mississauga, with a mix of manual and automation testing (50/50 split, subject to change based on project needs).

Job Summary:

Our retail industry client is seeking a Bilingual Quality Engineer II (French/English) to lead both manual and automated testing for a mobile super container application. This role involves creating and executing test plans, managing test environments, and ensuring high-quality software releases while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Canada and globally.

The Quality Engineer will work on manual testing for the French version of the application and build automation test suites to support multiple mini applications within the super container app.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Strategy & Execution:

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile applications (iOS & Android).
• Conduct bilingual (French/English) testing to ensure localization and functionality compliance.
• Perform regression, smoke, and functional testing.

1. Automation Development:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium and other automation tools.
• Work with standard test automation frameworks to streamline testing.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities.

1. Test Management & Collaboration:

• Manage test cases using JIRA, Confluence, and Xray.
• Coordinate with product teams, developers, and QEs across 15-20 mini applications.
• Work in a test lab (located 5 minutes from the office) and occasionally carry test devices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Experience: 4+ years in manual and automation testing, preferably for mobile applications.
• Bilingual: Must be fluent in French (Advanced level) for application testing.
• Technical Skills:
• Test Management: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Xray.
• Automation Tools: Selenium, API testing with Postman.
• Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills for query execution.
• QA Processes: Experience with test artifacts (test plans, strategy, cases, status reports).
• Agile Methodology: Strong knowledge and ability to adapt in Agile environments.
