Job summary

Porter Airlines in Toronto is seeking a bilingual Flight Attendant to deliver the Flying Refined experience with safety and service at the forefront. Based at Toronto bases, you will join a dynamic In-Flight Services team that takes pride in hospitality, style, and passenger comfort on every journey.

Fluency in English and French is mandatory, you will meet physical requirements, and be willing to work a rotating schedule including weekends and evenings.

• Ensuring the safety and security of all passengers - safety is our number one priority.
• Effortlessly delivering friendly and attentive service to maintain passenger comfort.
• Adhering to trained Standard Operating Procedures consistent with Transport Canada and Porter policies.
• Performing the physical duties of a flight attendant, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and assisting passengers during emergencies.
• Tactfully managing unforeseen operational and passenger situations - remaining calm and professional under pressure.
• Actively monitoring the general condition of the aircraft cabin and adjusting accordingly to maintain passenger safety and improve the passenger experience.
• Exemplifying the Porter Values - integrity, respect, and excellence in everything you do.
• Adhering to Porter's uniform and grooming standards at all times.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with team members.

What We're Looking For

• Must hold a current, valid Canadian Passport, or a current, valid International Passport with a current US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D).


• Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment.


• Completion of secondary school.


• Fluency in English and French is mandatory - bilingualism is essential for this role.


• A minimum of 2 years of previous experience working with the public in a customer service role.


• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and successfully complete the company background screening process.


• Ability to meet the required medical standards (including alcohol and drug tests) and all physical requirements of the position.


• Must successfully complete a 5-6 week full-time training program with 100% attendance and passing all written and practical assessments.


• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a safety-sensitive mindset and ability to work unsupervised.


• Must be able to work on a rotating reserve schedule that includes weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnights (schedules and days off are awarded based on seniority through an online bidding system).


• Must be prepared to report to the assigned home base airport within two hours' notice for flying duties.
