Job summary

A global construction firm in Quebec is seeking a Demand Planner to manage material planning and optimize stock levels for customer projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in fast-paced environments, excellent communication skills in both English and French, and substantial logistics knowledge. This role involves collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely material availability while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or similar environments.
• Know-how and product knowledge in cost calculation and inventory valuation.
• Substantial working knowledge of logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage material planning and availability as per project forecasts.
• Collaborate with external suppliers for customized materials.
• Ensure timely and accurate order processing.
• Attend Sales & Operations meetings for alignment on requirements.
• Monitor and optimize stock levels including safety stock.
• Coordinate sourcing activities to avoid negative inventories.
• Work with Engineering to find substitutions for materials.
