Job summary

Air Canada is hiring a Customer Experience Specialist to join our team at the Quebec City airport. In this on-site role, you will help ensure on-time departures by assisting customers at every touchpoint of their journey.

You’ll work with a vibrant team as Ground Hosts/Hostesses, delivering friendly service, checking in passengers, and guiding them through the boarding process while adhering to safety and attendance standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service delivering friendly, helpful interactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a diverse, airport-focused teamwork setting.
  • Comfort with shift work including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Check-in passengers and issue boarding passes.
  • Provide flight schedules and route information to passengers.
  • Assist passengers needing special assistance throughout their journey, ensuring timely transport to gates or baggage claims.
  • Move actively throughout the airport to support the assigned work area.

What Your Day-to-day Looks Like

As a Customer Experience Specialist at the Quebec City airport, you will be part of a vibrant and diverse team representing Air Canada as Ground Hosts and Hostesses. You will also:



  • Conduct passenger check-in, and prepare and issue boarding passes

  • Assist pre-boarding passengers and provide information on flight schedules and routes

  • Assist customers requiring special assistance throughout the customer journey, ensuring their timely and safe transport to their designated gates or baggage claims

  • Active movement throughout the airport to attend to the assigned work area

Qualifications

Skills and experience required


  • Availability to attend and successfully pass a five (5) to seven (7) weeks full-time paid training program

  • Availability to work rotating shift patterns over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays)

  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull, and provide wheelchair assistance to customers with reduced mobility

  • The ability to work within strict timelines in order to maintain on-time performance

  • Ability to adhere to Air Canada’s attendance and grooming standards

  • Previous customer service experience with strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Strong ability to solve problems and find solutions, in line with the guidelines and policies

  • Safety and security conscious

  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Please refer to Transport Canada site for more details.


Linguistic Requirements

Priority will be given to candidate's bilingual in English and French. Moreover, strong consideration will also be given to candidates fluent in English and one or more of the preferred languages: Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Portuguese, Greek, Hindi, Punjabi.
