Job summary

Alstom in Saint-Bruno, QC, seeks a full-time Tender/Bid Cost Manager or Project Cost Manager. You will prepare rapid cost estimates, define cost structures, and lead cost estimation and optimization for bids.

Requires a Master’s degree (Finance/ Economics/ Business) and up to two years of FP&A/financial reporting experience. Hybrid work: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote; salary CAD 95,000. Fluency in French and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Two years or less of relevant experience in Financial Controlling, Management Control, FP&A, or Financial Reporting.
• Ability to analyze, consolidate and challenge commitments using data-driven cost analyses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rapid cost estimates during the pre-bid phase based on product cost databases and project execution data.
• Define cost structures and target costs in coordination with stakeholders.
• Lead cost estimation and cost optimization activities to ensure competitiveness.
• Collaborate with Finance leaders to optimize costs and bid competitiveness.
• Provide variance analyses and support financial reviews during project execution.
• Support project teams in estimating costs related to change orders and cost-saving initiatives.
