Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Co-Op student to join the Total Rewards team in Ontario. The role is 100% in-person at Yorkdale or Mississauga offices, starting January 4, 2027, for eight months.

This paid co-op offers exposure to benefits administration and HR systems. You will support benefits enrollment, train new hires, and coordinate with providers, vendors, and payroll to ensure accurate plan coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be a student available to start January 4, 2027, for 8 months.
• Position is in-person at Yorkdale, Ontario or Mississauga, ON.
• Paid co-op role with hourly pay of $22.50–$25.50.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with employees, HR, benefit partners and leaders on benefits administration.
• Administer benefits and retirement plan per design and procedures.
• Facilitate new hire benefits training sessions and assist in employee education.
• Collaborate with benefit plan providers, carriers, and other vendors to resolve issues.
• Support annual benefits enrolment activities.
• Support year end reporting on taxable benefits.
• Identify reporting requirements to audit, report financials and plan details.
• Support HRIS modifications to accommodate new benefits or plan choices.
• Collaborate with internal partners to generate vendor payments and retirement plan contributions.
• Audit data integrity between internal and carrier systems.
• Create and update process documentation.

We are currently seeking a Co-Op student to join our Total Rewards team. We are looking for a student who is available to start January 4th, 2027, for a duration of 8 months. This position is 100% in-person at the job site located in Yorkdale, Ontario or Mississauga, ON. We appreciate all interest in IKO Industries Ltd. and this position, however, only students will be considered for this role, it is not open to graduates. This is a paid position offering an hourly salary between $22.50 - $25.50 per hour.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

• Communicate with employees, field HR, benefit partners and people leaders regarding all aspects of benefits administration (health, dental, insurance and retirement) in adherence to benefit policies and procedures.
• Administer benefits and retirement plan in accordance with plan design, carrier contract and standardized operating procedures.
• Facilitates new hire and add hoc benefits training sessions and assist in development of employee education.
• Collaborate with benefit plan providers, insurance carriers, and other vendors to resolve any identified service or claim related issues.
• Support annual benefits enrolment activities.
• Support year end reporting on taxable benefits.
• Identify reporting requirements to effectively audit, report financials and plan details to make informed decisions.
• Support the development and implementation of HRIS system modifications to accommodate new benefits or plan choices.
• Collaborate with internal partners to generate vendor payments and retirement plan contributions.
• Audit data integrity of internal system in relation to carrier system to ensure accuracy of coverage.
• Create and update process documentation as required.
