Overview

Job Location: Belleville

Job Description

Our Belleville manufacturing site is seeking highly motivated, reliable and flexible individuals with a commitment to safety and total quality to be a part of our Logistic Team. Shunt Drivers will be responsible to move trailers safely and efficiently to and from the drop lot and into dock doors as part of the shunting team, receiving daily task directions from the Drop Lot Coordinator reporting to the on-shift Material Dock Coordinator.

The position offers a competitive wage with a starting salary of $24.69 per hour and a $3.20 shift premium. Shifts operate 24/7 on 12-hour days and nights with rapid rotation; 36 hours in one week and 48 hours the next. This position includes a Retirement Investment Plan, a comprehensive Benefits package, and a voluntary stock program with a company match. This is a pay and progression position.

Responsibilities

Move trailers safely and efficiently to and from the drop lot and into dock doors as directed by the shunting team.

Follow daily task directions from the Drop Lot Coordinator and work under the supervision of the on-shift Material Dock Coordinator.

Job Qualifications

We believe you will be an excellent fit here if you are:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Wear required safety personal protective equipment including eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, and a respirator as required.
  • Able and willing to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
  • Punctual and consistent attendance
  • Preferred previous manufacturing or warehouse experience
  • Have a valid Ontario AZ Driver's License
  • Include detailed education and work experience in your resume

Employment opportunities will be conditional upon the results of a background check and a medical screening.

It is the driver’s responsibility to maintain their AZ license in accordance with MTO guidelines and to provide a copy of a valid medical screening report to the site medical department. P&G will reimburse Shunt Drivers for their AZ license medical exam fees.
