Job summary

A local government organization is seeking Firefighter Cadets in Lac La Biche County. This casual position involves training in firefighting essentials and requires candidates to be between 15 and 18 years of age. Purpose of the position

The candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Training in core areas of firefighting including First Aid & CPR, communications, general fire and rescue operations, and fire safety and prevention.
  • Attending, at minimum, 25 training events a year.
To Be Successful In This Position, You Will
  • Come to us with related training and experience with demonstrated passion to continue to develop in the firefighting field.
  • Be between 15 and 18 years of age.
  • Be enrolled in high school within the Lac La Biche County.
  • Have good conflict resolution skills.
  • Be well-developed in public relations skills.
Position Details
  • Salary starts at $18.35 (hourly) and increases when candidate successfully becomes a Firefighter.
  • Casual position.
  • Hours: On call for days, evenings and weekends – no guaranteed hours per week.
