Job summary

Autism Services of Saskatoon Inc. is seeking a compassionate behavior therapist to work with children with ASD in a clinical, one-to-one setting. The role involves delivering individualized ABA/IBI programming, under the direction of Senior Therapists and the ABA Program Director, in a casual on-call float capacity.

The ABA Little Tots Program at Autism Services is looking for creative professionals who are passionate about working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as a member of a team in a non-profit environment.

This is a direct service position working directly with children from 1-6 years of age presenting with ASD in a one-to-one setting in a clinical environment. The behavior therapist will be responsible for delivering programming developed specifically for each child. The worker will work under the direction of the Senior Therapist(s) and the supervision of the Director of the ABA Program.

Qualifications:

• Preferred completion of a University Degree in a field related to behavior analysis, human services, psychology or education.
• Demonstrated understanding of autism spectrum disorders.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work respectfully and cooperatively, both individually and with other team members and families.

Assets:

• 1-2 years' experience in the delivery of ABA or IBI programs.
• At least 1 year's experience in the delivery of educational/therapeutic programs for children with ASD.

Details:

This is a float (casual) on-call position. Prospective applicants will have to be available Monday-Friday from the hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and be able to come in on short notice. Casual positions are often the pool from which full-time or term positions at Autism Services are drawn.
