Job summary

Hollyburn Family Services in the Metro Vancouver area is seeking a Behaviour Technician to lead the therapeutic home team's implementation of client-specific behaviour support and safety plans, while maintaining the day-to-day health and well-being of our clients.

Reporting to the Program Supervisor, you will be responsible for data collection, ABC charts, and contributing to case management meetings to adjust treatment approaches for client success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with complex mental health and behavioural challenges.
• Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with individuals with ASD.
• Clear, direct, and sensitive verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
• Current First Aid/CPR training (we will train those who require this).
• Current MANDT Training (we will train those who require this).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination record.

Responsibilities

• Lead the therapeutic home team’s implementation of client behaviour support and safety plans (BSP).
• Oversee data collection, ABC charts, and adjustments to treatment approaches.
• Attend integrated case management meetings to present on client needs, data and progress.
• Present client progress at ICMs and school IEP meetings; provide updates to parents and professionals.
• Drive and accompany individuals to locations including school, medical appointments, and outings.
• Maintain client visual schedules, create social stories, update PECS, and ensure team consistency.
• Prepare client progress reports and coordinate with Clinical Manager and Program Supervisor.
