Job summary

Innovative Beauty Group (IBG) is seeking a Product Developer to lead end-to-end sourcing across designated product categories. You will work with our internal China and Korea teams to identify suppliers, negotiate costs, and ensure quality meets client requirements.

You will collaborate with PM & Sales to understand pricing targets, requirements, and timelines, shaping product visions aligned with IBG Lab’s capabilities and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Product Development, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in product sourcing, category management, or cost analysis within beauty, consumer goods, or related industries.
• Strong costing, negotiations, and supplier evaluation skills.
• Experience with ERP/PLM systems, Excel, and collaborative design tools.

IBG North America specializes in turnkey solutions, private label and packaging in the beauty industry. Together, we are concept builders and boosters with global opportunities for well-known retailers and brands.

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Developer to join our dynamic beauty team. They will be responsible for driving product sourcing excellence across designated categories, ensuring best-in-class quality, and pricing to meet client needs.

This role serves as the sourcingexpert, partnering closely with our internal China and Korea teams to identify the right suppliers, negotiate competitive costs, and bring forward innovative, cost-effective product solutions. Working alongside sales teams, this position supports the creation of product offerings that meet customer requirements while maximizing value and profitability. This is for an existing vacancy.

In this role, you will:

• Manage end-to-end sourcing activities across designated product categories, from concept to purchase.

• Interpret customer briefs and translate them into detailed product specifications for supplier development.

• Partner with PM & Sales to understand client needs, pricing targets, and quality expectations.

• Collaborate with Global Supplier base in partnership with our internal China and Korea teams to identify and engage suppliers that provide optimal cost, quality, and timelines.

• Lead product development initiatives within IBG Lab facilitating internal workshops, presenting strategic recommendations, and shaping product visions that align with IBG Lab’s formulation capabilities and commercial objectives.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and production schedules to ensure competitive and accurate costing.

• Support new business development activities, presenting IBG Lab’s brand development capabilities to prospective clients and contributing to pitch preparation, capabilities presentations, and new client onboarding.

• Track brand development program performance, monitoring sell-through data, client feedback, and market performance of developed products to inform future brand strategy recommendations.

• Support cost analysis, testing requirements and approval processed for each new item. Ensure that all products comply with relevant safety regulations, labelling laws and import requirements.

• Maintain updated records in PMOne system, including specifications, sample review, version control and supplier communications.

• Support the development of proposals and quotations that align with customer specifications and pricing strategies.

• Recommend sourcing strategies and continuous improvement opportunities to enhance speed-to-market and cost efficiency.

• Communicate daily withglobal team &suppliers to resolve technical questions, timelines, and production options.

• Support the preparation of cost breakdowns, testing requirements, and production approval packages.

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance,Category Managers, andProject Managers to ensure development meets customer requirements & regulations.

• Monitor progress on multiple projects to keep developments on schedule and within budget.

• Performs related duties as assigned that are consistent with the scope and level of this position.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Product Development, or related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in product sourcing, category management, or cost analysis within beauty, consumer goods, or related industries.

• Previous experience with project management considered a strong asset

• Understanding of supplier markets in China and Korea, with proven experience managing vendor relationships in those regions.

• Expertise in costing, negotiations, and supplier evaluation.

• Proficiency in global sourcing processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.

• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems, excel and collaborative design tools.
