Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, part of the Accor group, is seeking an Assistant Manager for Basin Glacial Waters Wellness Facility. This permanent role offers interaction with guests, leadership responsibilities, and a commitment to health, safety, and premium service within Banff National Park.

Reporting to the Wellness Operations Manager, you will manage inventories, scheduling, payroll, and cross-department collaboration while upholding luxury service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience an asset.
• Previous spa, housekeeping or cleaning experience an asset.
• Are dedicated to a high level of customer service and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift, carry and pull over 30+ lbs and stand/walk throughout shift.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proactive Skill Set – Spa experience an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an inventory of supplies used in the administration of the Basin.
• Complete monthly inventory and ordering in tandem with the leadership team.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Wellness Operations Manager through daily scheduling and payroll.
• Ensure proper health and safety procedures are followed in facility operations.
• Process and oversee special requests of customers.
• Keep up-to-date reports and ensure accurate processing (e.g., CASD reporting).
• Collaborate with Basin Leadership on projects, events, and special requests.
• Train reception staff and support development of current and future employees.
• Ensure effective communication between departments for receiving operations.
• Follow Fairmont Hotels and Resorts policies.
• Coordinate with Pool Operator and Wellness Ops Manager for preventative maintenance.
• Maintain Basin premises; stock amenities, toiletries, linens; answer guest inquiries.
• Assist in dispensing robes, towels and sandals to guests.
• Keep public areas clean to reflect a luxury guest experience.
• Support Lounge Servers during clearing and service.
• Maintain tidy locker rooms; manage locker cleanliness.
• Direct guests to appointments and assist with sauna, steam and whirlpool use.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basin Glacial Waters is a brand new, highly anticipated Wellness Facility that will offer guests a truly luxurious experience. Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Wellness Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job function include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain an inventory of supplies used in the administration of the Basin
• Complete monthly inventory and ordering in tandem with the leadership team
• Provide administrative assistance to the Wellness Operations Manager through daily scheduling and payroll
• Ensure the proper procedures in the operations of the facility for Health and Safety purposes
• Processes and oversees special requests of customers
• Keep up to date reports and ensure that they are accurately processed i.e. CASD reporting
• Work in collaboration with the Basin Leadership team on projects, events, special requests.
• Responsible for the efficient training of reception staff in terms of work-related tasks and participate in training and development of current and future employees
• Ensure effective communication between all departments in relation to the operations of the receiving department.
• Follow all Fairmont Hotels and Resorts policies.
• Maintain effective communication with the Pool Operator and Wellness Operations Manager to ensure preventative maintenance process in the facility
• Responsible for maintaining the Basin premises; clean, replenish stock of all amenities, toiletries and linens and answer any guest inquiries
• Support in dispensing robes, towels and sandals to guests
• Ensuring that all public areas of the facility are clean and reflect a luxury experience for our guests
• Support the Lounge Servers in clearing
• Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner, check and clean lockers when needed
• Direct members/guests to appointments and assist them with use of sauna, steam whirlpool etc.
• Other Duties as assigned
