Job Description

Work Schedule:

4-5 days per week. Must be available to work all shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends (schedule subject to change).

Position Description (Bartender):

  • Welcome guests and direct them to their tables;
  • Describe the wine and beverage menu, advise guests on their choices, and suggest food and wine pairings;
  • Take orders and ensure effective communication between the bar and kitchen;
  • Serve ordered dishes according to hotel service standards;
  • Prepare and present bills to guests and process payments;
  • Offer exceptional service to guests and handle complaints if necessary;
  • Ensure smooth operation of the customer experience;
  • Set up the work environment;
  • Clear and reset tables, maintain cleanliness of the bar-lounge, and clean the bar area;
  • Manage inventory, transport beverage crates, and refill the bar and cellar, maintaining stock levels;
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests;
  • Perform other related tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bar service certification or equivalent;
  • Professional hospitality or restaurant management diploma;
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of Micros (an asset);
  • Excellent knowledge of wines and spirits;
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken;
  • Experience with monetary transactions;
  • Follow and adhere to hotel policies and standards;
  • Professional attitude and well-groomed appearance;
  • Autonomous and organized in work;
  • Team player and helpful attitude;
  • Open-minded and sociable personality;
  • Sales aptitude;
  • Good interpersonal skills and clear communication with guests;
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse clientele and provide quality service.

The hourly wage is $24.36.
