Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a friendly and reliable barista to join our store team in Maple Ridge. You will provide excellent customer service, craft beverages and food, and work in a fast-paced, energetic environment with opportunities to learn new drinks and skills.

With flexible scheduling and a focus on teamwork, you’ll contribute to a warm, welcoming store experience for every guest while maintaining standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays.
• Provide quality beverages and food products with accuracy and care.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and respond with clear, pleasant communication.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to new recipes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create the Starbucks Experience for customers through excellent service and expertly-crafted beverages.
• Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes and customized requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; follow cash-handling procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
• Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
• Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
