Bar Mill Operations Manager

We’re seeking a Bar Mill Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Bar Mill and Heat Treat department. Reporting to the Director, Bar Mill Operations, this role is critical in driving performance and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Bar Mill Operations Supervisors.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
  • Drive for accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Equip supervisors with the tools, resources, and training needed to succeed.
  • Act as a key liaison between supervisors and senior leadership.
  • Support supervisors in managing attendance, performance, and employee relations.
  • Manage departmental budgets and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Conduct investigations in collaboration with HR, HSE, and groups as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a unionized setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
