Description

The Banquet Server is responsible for food and drink serving duties while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner. Pillars for this position include tact, diplomacy, attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.

Typical Duties
  • Review Banquet Event Order (BEO) at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
  • Set up for events by putting out place settings, arranging table placement, and setting up a buffet.
  • Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
  • Understand and communicate products and services available.
  • Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service.
  • Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to Banquet Supervisor.
  • Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Provide all group guests with a lasting experience with intent for return business.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of all banquet equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas.
