Norton Rose Fulbright’s Vancouver office is currently seeking a mid-level or senior associate to join our dynamic and collegial banking and finance team, which is part of a Chambers Canada- and Legal 500 Canada-ranked national practice. Our banking lawyers act for clients across a full range of banking and financial services matters, including acting for both lenders and borrowers in local, domestic, and international transactions involving a wide range of industries. Our team has extensive experience in corporate lending, acquisition finance, vessel finance, infrastructure and project finance, mezzanine finance, structured finance, asset-based lending and real estate finance transactions. Our Canadian team also regularly advises publicly traded companies in debt finance and debt capital market matters, including public and private offerings of debt securities, medium-term note programs, bank regulatory capital, liability management transactions and consensual restructuring matters. Our clients include Canadian and international banks and financial institutions, private institutional lenders, and local, domestic and international companies of all sizes, including start-ups, and privately held companies.

Our banking and finance team offers a diverse practice and a commitment to mentorship and training in a team-oriented work environment. The ideal candidate will have had exposure to these types of banking matters, as well as:

  • 3 to 7 years of post-call experience;
  • excellent academics; and
  • commercial awareness, excellent interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm for our work, and an innovative and team-oriented approach to practice.

Vancouver Salary: $145,000-$220,000 per year. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
