Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Banking Advisor Trainee in Muskoka, Ontario (Huntsville/Bracebridge/Gravenhurst). You will engage customers, identify financial goals, and guide them through banking solutions as part of a collaborative branch team.

You will work toward Mutual Funds licensing and CIFP Diploma while delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships with clients across the Muskoka area.

Qualifications

• Mutual Funds licence required.
• CIFP Diploma pursued or in progress.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Take a proactive approach to discovering customer needs and listening to understand what they are asking for.
• Educate customers by providing relevant insights and expert advice.
• Build customers' comprehensive plans using a holistic approach to help them achieve their goals.
• Nurture strong, long-standing relationships with customers.

• Taking a proactive approach to discovering our customer needs, listening to understand what they are asking for
• Educating our customers, providing relevant insights and expert advice
• Building our customer’s comprehensive plans using a holistic approach to help them achieve their goals
• Nurturing strong, long-standing relationships
• Developing, retaining and growing the branch business by delivering against individual and team sales goals that support a positive customer experience

What you need to succeed…

• The appetite and drive to build strong customer relationships and deliver excellence customer service
• The proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast paced environment that align to a customer’s stated goals
• To uncover and solve for customers’ needs
• Mutual Funds licence and working towards the CIFP Diploma
