Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and specialised dietetic team within The All‑Age Eating Disorder Service, based in Kent and Medway. The role will predominantly focus on the provision of nutritional care for a General in‑patient Adolescent unit based in Staplehurst. This role supports opportunities to experience work in mental health and eating disorders for young patients, within a supportive and collaborative MDT.

Our team is committed to delivering the highest quality of care, enabling our service users to have autonomy and choice in their recovery. We achieve this through regular developmental opportunities, journal reviews and twice‑monthly CPD, delivered both by dietitians and the wider MDT.

While experience in mental health is advantageous, we also encourage applications from those with transferable skills. You should be adaptable, enjoy variety, and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously. This role also includes developing innovative approaches to care and supporting the development of junior dietetic staff and students.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the operational guidance of the Dietetic Lead and Advanced Dietetic Practitioner.
  • Manage a diverse caseload across within an inpatient General Adolescent Unit, predominately supporting the Eating Disorder Pathway.
  • Deliver educational groups and attend regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support our student and apprenticeship training programmes and support junior members of staff assigned to support you.
