Responsibilities

• Providing practical HR advice, coaching and support to employees and leaders.
• Supporting legislative compliance, including Alberta employment standards, human rights and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Administering and supporting compensation, benefits, disability management, attendance and workplace accommodations.
• Leading and supporting equitable recruitment and selection processes.
• Coordinating onboarding, employee development, performance management, recognition and succession‑planning initiatives.
• Supporting employee relations matters, including workplace concerns and investigations, with discretion and a fair, fact‑based approach.
• Reviewing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and programs to align with organizational needs and legislative requirements.
• Building trusted relationships with employees, leaders, Council, external partners and professional advisors.
• Contributing to a physically and psychologically safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
