Responsibilities

• Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls).
• Keeps the department fully stocked and ready for business.
• Ensures merchandise is signed and properly priced.
• Follows cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by and expiration dates.
• Adheres to food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Follows ordering, clearance, markdowns, labeling and pricing procedures.
• Prepares bakery items by thawing and baking per guidelines to maintain quality and appearance.
• Ensures all displays are secured safely.
