Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Winnipeg, MB is hiring a Bakery Clerk to greet customers, operate the cash register and keep the bakery area well stocked and clean. You will share product knowledge with shoppers and ensure only the freshest items are displayed.

Open daytime availability is preferred; shift times range from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Retail experience is a plus and benefits, scholarships, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Retail customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
• Demonstrated teamwork and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cash register and handle customer transactions.
• Provide friendly, helpful service and answer questions.
• Keep bakery area clean, organized and well stocked.
• Ensure fresh products are displayed and rotated.
• Assist customers with product knowledge and recommendations.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including equipment handling (knives).
