Job summary

Sun Peaks Resort LLP is seeking a Baker-Outlet Cook with 2-3 years of pastry/baking experience in hotels and restaurants. You will produce and present sun peaks cinnamon buns and baked goods, craft Grab n Go sandwiches and salads, and support inventory and purchasing while working with the culinary leadership to develop new ideas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of pastry/baking experience in hotels, restaurants, and pastry kitchens.
• Volume baking experience required.
• Cinnamon Bun and Croissantiere experience considered an asset.
• Degree/Diploma in pastry/food science/culinary considered an asset.

We are looking for a Baker-Outlet Cook to join the Sun Peaks Resort culinary team! Working with the Junior Sous Chef and Executive Chef, the individual in this role will be responsible for the production and presentation of pastries, making sandwiches and salads, collaborating in the creation of new ideas, and supporting with inventory/ordering. This individual needs to carry 2-3 years of pastry/baking experience in hotels and restaurants. We are looking for an individual who will bring passion, energy, and positivity to the role. Compensation Information: $24.55 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the production and presentation of Sun Peaks, famous cinnamon buns and baked goods.
• Responsible for making all Grab n Go sandwiches and salads
• Assists the entire culinary department in the daily activities of the kitchen, including baked goods, inventory & purchasing of supplies.
• Requires an understanding of federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations.
• Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.
• Works with Executive Chef and Jr Sous Chef to develop new ideas for banquets and a la carte baked goods and pastries.
• Successfully manages time and resources.
• Ensures that the professional equipment is in good condition and signals any malfunction before it affects the staff or the clients.
• Prepare the required volume of baked goods in a timely manner.
• Responsible for assisting with inventory of all products related to cinnamon buns, baked goods and Grab and Go items.
• Responsible for assisting with ordering all products related to cinnamon buns, baked goods and grab and go items.
• Follow company grooming standards and policies.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management.
