Job summary

North Central Co-op in St. Albert, AB, is hiring a full-time Baker for the Riverside Food Store. Successful applicants must be available for early morning open shifts (3am-11:30am or 5am-1:30pm) and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field; Red Seal preferred.
  • Previous experience as a retail baker.
  • Previous cake decorating experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the department.
  • Prepare a wide variety of baked goods using specific guidelines.
  • Ensure consistency of all products being baked.
  • Follow production planners with the Manager to project daily requirements while managing shrink.
  • Keep cooler and freezers organized and manage stock.
  • Clean bakery in adherence to food safety guidelines.
  • Fill out temperature and sanitation guides.

We invite applications for the position of full-time Baker to join our team at our Riverside Food Store located in St. Albert, AB. Successful applicants must be available for early morning open shifts (3am -11:30am/ 5am- 1:30pm) and weekends. Open availability is required.

What you’ll do:

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:



  • Post-secondary education in related field (Red seal certificate preferred)

  • Previous experience as a retail Baker

  • Previous cake decorating experience

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional math skills

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and stand for long periods of time
