Job summary

COBS Bread is seeking a friendly Baker in North Vancouver to join our team. You will bake bread and pastries from scratch each morning and help ensure our bakery is stocked with fresh products for customers.

Training is provided, with Bronze and Silver Bakers Development Qualification programs available. The role offers opportunities for career growth and the satisfaction of delivering high-quality baked goods daily.

Qualifications

• No prior baking experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work morning shifts, as early as 4 AM.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and passion for baking.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Your Role as a Baker

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality bread and pastries from scratch every morning. You’ll work alongside a friendly team, ensuring that our bakery is always stocked with delicious products for our loyal customers. This is a great chance to develop your baking skills in a positive and rewarding environment, whether you have experience or are eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow recipes to produce a variety of baked goods
• Utilize baking equipment and manage the baking process
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance the customer experience
• Support team members to ensure a productive work environment

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive attitude and a passion for baking
• Ability to work morning shifts, as early as 4 AM
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently
• No prior baking experience is required; we will train the right candidates!

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent lifting and carrying of ingredients and products up to 50 lbs
• Using hands for repetitive tasks, including mixing and shaping dough
• Occasional bending and reaching required
