Job summary

A leading financial institution in Toronto is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Derivatives Technology Team. You'll focus on backend development, using C++ and Java, to enhance derivatives trading platforms. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in enterprise application development, is skilled in SQL, and has a thorough understanding of microservices and REST services. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development using C++.
• Proficiency in Java or Python is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environment and Shell script.
• Good working knowledge in SQL and databases such as SQL Server.
• Experience with Microservice architecture and REST service.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for complex, multi-faceted problems.
• Develop, test and deploy new features for Dextr.
• Integrate new components/services into PXV trading platform.
• Collaborate with technology and business partners.
• Design and automate testing, including regression and performance testing.
