Robinhood is seeking a Software Developer Intern, Backend in Toronto to own a high-impact backend project end-to-end. You will work on production-grade code embedded in a real team, shipping features that power a live financial platform.

You will gain hands-on experience with Python/Django or Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Memcached, AWS, and Kubernetes, while collaborating with experienced engineers on scalable services and data systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program
• Expected graduation Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
• Solid communication skills and ability to drive large projects forward
• Prior software development experience from internships, hackathons, or personal projects
• Strong CS fundamentals and best coding practices
• Interest in fintech and building fintech products/services
• Familiarity with Python/Django or Go and relational databases

Responsibilities

• Own a high-impact backend project end-to-end from scoping through production
• Work on production-ready code on a real Robinhood team

• Partner with a dedicated mentor who will guide you from onboarding through shipping, deepening your understanding of our tech stack and financial domain along the way
