Job summary

Startec Compression & Process is seeking a certified B-Pressure Welder to work at our Shepard Shop in Calgary. You will perform complex welding on vessels and exchangers, adhering to WPS and project specs while maintaining safety.

The role requires ABSA certification, 2+ years of spooling/vessel welding, and strong blueprint reading. You will collaborate with the Vessel Supervisor to ensure high-quality welds and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Certified B-Pressure Welder with ABSA certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in spooling or vessel welding.
• Extensive experience with high-pressure welding.
• Strong blueprint interpretation and reading skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to WPS.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex welding tasks on vessels and exchangers per project specs.
• Interpret WPS, weld symbols and blueprints; ensure conformance.
• Read and apply welding procedures and material specs.
• Ensure safety practices and PPE compliance on site.
