Job summary

PeoplePilot is looking for a Lead Java Cloud Architect to guide modernization and cloud transformation of enterprise Java applications on Azure. You will shape migration strategies and target architectures, and design cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

You’ll drive DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, security, and resiliency while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable and cost-efficient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and ecosystem tooling.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining Java apps in production.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead application modernization and cloud transformation for enterprise Java applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Define migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Rearchitect) and design target-state solution architectures.
• Architect cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, Containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and Azure services.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, resiliency, and operational excellence across application platforms.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
